The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the final timetable for the 2023 WASSCE-Private, also known as the November/December examination. 2023 NovDec Timetable

The 2023 WASSCE-Private (NovDec) is scheduled to begin on Friday, 27th October 2023. Below, you will find the complete timetable with details of each paper, including paper codes, subject names, duration, and corresponding times in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Please note that there might be variations in the timing on question papers, and we advise following the duration mentioned on the question paper.

October 27, 2023 (Friday)

  • Paper Code: PC7023
  • Subject: Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Time: 08:30 hrs. – 09:30 hrs.

October 30 – November 18, 2023 (Monday – Saturday)

  • Various project work papers for Basketry, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Jewellery, Leatherwork, Picture Making, Sculpture, and Textiles.
  • Duration: 6 hours a day for 5 days for each paper
  • Date and time for each paper will be arranged by the Council.

November 6 – 17, 2023 (Monday – Friday)

  • Various papers for Arabic, Music, French, Clothing and Textiles, and Foods and Nutrition.
  • Duration: Varies

November 15, 2023 (Wednesday)

  • Paper Code: PC6043
  • Subject: Building Construction 3 (Building Drawing and Essay)
  • Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Time: 08:30 hrs. – 11:00 hrs.

November 15 – 16, 2023 (Wednesday – Thursday)

  • Various papers for Dagaare, Dagbani, Dangme, Ewe, Fante, Ga, Gonja, Kasem, Nzema, Twi (Akuapem), and Twi (Asante).
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Time: 08:30 hrs. – 11:30 hrs.

November 16, 2023 (Thursday)

  • Continuation of papers for Dagaare, Dagbani, Dangme, Ewe, Fante, Ga, Gonja, Kasem, Nzema, Twi (Akuapem), and Twi (Asante).
  • Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Time: 13:00 hrs. – 15:30 hrs.

November 17 – 18, 2023 (Friday – Saturday)

  • Papers for Ceramics, Electronics, Social Studies, General Knowledge-In-Art, Technical Drawing, General Mathematics/Mathematics (Core), and Building Construction.

  • Papers for Typewriting, Physics, Biology, Business Management, Music, Applied Electricity, Sculpture, Integrated Science, and Principles of Cost Accounting.

December 12 – 20, 2023 (Tuesday – Wednesday)

  • Papers for Chemistry, Further Mathematics/Mathematics (Elective), Management-In-Living, Information and Communication Technology, Metalwork, Clothing and Textiles, and Economics.

Important Instructions

WAEC has provided several crucial instructions for candidates and schools:

  1. Difference in Time on Question Paper and Timetable: Follow the duration on the question paper if it differs from the timetable.
  2. Question Papers Given in Advance: General Knowledge-In-Art Paper 3 will be given to candidates two weeks before the paper is due. Project work papers for Basketry, Graphic Design, Leatherwork, Ceramics, Sculpture, Picture Making, Textiles, and Jewellery will also be provided two weeks in advance. The exact delivery date will be communicated.
  3. Extra Time for Candidates with Visual and Hearing Impairment: Visually and hearing impaired candidates should be allowed one and a half times the allotted time for other candidates.
