280,000 laptops to be given to teachers – John Ntim confirms

Deputy Minister for Education, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour confirms distribution of brand new state of the art laptops as promised by Akufo-Addo 280,000 to some teachers.

As first detailed by at Educationweb.com.gh, Reverend John said at a GNAT Investment Forum held in Accra that the state of the art laptops will be given to teachers on a cost-sharing basis.

President Akufo-Addo in March this year during his first State of the Nation Address reported to give 280,000 PCs to individuals from the educator associations in the country.

“I am happy to announce the government is facilitating 280,000 laptops to members of the GNAT, the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition Of Concern Teachers (CCT),” His Excellency expressed.

John Ntim Fordjour representative for Minister of Education, Dr Adutwum said teacher concerns will be tended to with energetic promptness adding that the Teachers Welfare App will be introduced soon to receive their complaints.

Reverend John guaranteed that the Ministry of Education (MoE) led by Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has started steps to determine exceptional worries of teachers/educators identifying with advancement, redesigns and recompenses.
