Asanteman SHS has lost its appeal against Obuasi SHTS, clearing the way for T. I. Amass and Opoku Ware School to play in the interschool soccer championship final.
An earlier decision by the Disciplinary Committee, which awarded three points to Obuasi SHTS after they fielded a player by the name of Evans Osei who was declared unqualified, prompted the Past Students Association of Asanteman to seek a court injunction against the game in question.
This was done while their appeal case was being heard. Despite losing their quarterfinal match against Asanteman SHS, Obuasi was given the chance to play T. I. Amass, Ksi in the semifinals as a result of the decision.
Following a promise from educational authorities that their appeal case would receive a fair hearing, the Former Students of Asanteman were forced to rescind their injunction. The appeal case of the former pupils of Asanteman SHS was then reviewed by the Appeals Committee, which was chaired by the headmaster of Konongo Odumasi SHS.

It is likely that the finals and 3rd place games will be played somewhere next week at the earlier selected Okesse Park at Ejisu.
