Following a three-year legal battle, the Accra court has issued its verdict in the divorce case between Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan and his ex-wife, Gifty Gyan, with mathematical precision.
An Accra court has determined that Asamoah Gyan is indeed the biological father of his wife’s three children.
- Paternity Confirmed: The court affirmed Asamoah Gyan’s paternity of the three children born to Gifty Gyan, settling any paternity-related disputes.
- Financial Calculation: Asamoah Gyan has been ordered to provide Gifty Gyan with a monthly stipend of 25,000 Ghana cedis. To calculate the annual support, this amounts to 300,000 Ghana cedis.
- Property Division: The court’s decision includes a complex allocation of property, transferring Asamoah Gyan’s UK mansion and a four-bedroom house in Accra to Gifty Gyan. Two vehicles, a BMW and an Infiniti, will also be handed over, and Gifty Gyan is assigned Asamoah Gyan’s land designated for a filling station.
In addition to the financial support, Gifty will gain possession of several valuable assets, including Asamoah Gyan’s UK mansion, a four-bedroom residence located in Spintex, Accra, as well as ownership of a BMW, an Infiniti, and a piece of land initially intended for a fuel station in Prampram.
Thishighlights the financial aspect of the court’s verdict, representing a significant development in the divorce case, with an annual financial obligation of 300,000 Ghana cedis for Asamoah Gyan.
