Vaccines for Covid-19 have arrived in Ghana today 24th February, 2021.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Ghana is among the first African countries to receive COVID-19 vaccines.
“Ghana is among the first African countries to receive COVID-19 vaccines based on various factors, including a strong rollout plan and all regulatory steps in place.”
“The shipments represent the beginning of the largest vaccine procurement & supply operation in history.” WHO
The Ministry of Information has confirmed its arrival in Ghana.
The doses that arrived in Ghana are over 600,000 Oxford-AstraZeneca doses delivered at Accra today from the COVAX facility.
