The 2nd regular session of the Ethiopian Professors Council is being held under the theme "Our Scholars for Science and Higher Education Goals".

The second regular session of the Ethiopian Professors Council of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has started.

In his inaugural address, State Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Afework Kasu said all Ethiopian professors have a great role to play in bringing the country to the level natives want it to be. Prof. Afework gave a presentation on the focus areas of the ministry.
The two-day council meeting discussed the support expected from the Council of Professors for the achievement of science and higher education goals.

In the morning, the program begun with nursery care at the Addis Ababa University of Science and Technology, followed by visits to the university's laboratories, workshops and centers of excellence. During their stay, they were briefed on the current situation of the university and the plans of the next centers of excellence and how they will support the university.
Similarly, a consultative forum was held in the afternoon after visiting Addis Ababa University. A discussion was held on the ministry's focus areas and the support expected from the Ethiopian Professors Council. A final recognition program was also carried out at the forum.
When the ministry established the council, its main objective was to create a way for all Ethiopian professors and scholars to achieve the goals of the science, higher education and training sector and contribute to the country's development.
