Since 1994, eleven (11) schools have won the National Science & Maths Quiz Competition (NSMQ).
Out of these 11 schools, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon is the highest winner with seven (7) wins starting from 1995 a year after the competition first started through 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009 and their last win in 2020.
Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School is directly followed by Prempeh College with five (5) wins. Prempeh College started a winning streak when the competition began in 1994. Their first win was in 1994 and have since shown some impressive football competence. St. Peter’s Secondary School, Nkwatia has won NSMQ in 2000, 2005 and 2018 making them the third highest winner.
PRESEC is the only school to have won NSMQ two times in a row 2008 and 2009.
Opoku Ware School and Tepa Senior High School are at the bottom 10 with 1 win each in 1998 and 2007 respectively.

The annual Educational Competition has been around for over 28 years with participation from several schools. The above list of schools are the only secondary schools that have won NSMQ since 1994.
