Hironobu Kanagawa is a Japanese-Canadian playwright and actor living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has appeared in several high-profile films and television shows shot in Vancouver, including Smallville, Caprica, Godzilla, The Man in the High Castle, Altered Carbon, iZombie, Legends of Tomorrow, Heroes Reborn, and Kim’s Convenience, and was a writer for Da Vinci’s City Hall.

Hiro Kanagawa married his wife Tasha Faye Evans in 2004. Hiro Kanagawa and his wife Tasha Faye Evans celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on June 22nd, 2019 at the Tigh-Na-Mera Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre in Parksville. For the first occasion, the couple spent more than a day apart from their children to commemorate their big day.


Due to his father’s employment, he spent his first three years of life moving between Canada and the United States until he graduated from junior high school. He studied music at the Yamaha Music School in Mitaka City from 1978 to 1982.

After graduating from high school, he moved to the United States, where he graduated from the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Middlebury College, Temple University, and Simon Fraser University Graduate School, before moving to Vancouver in 1990.

After that, he acquired Canadian citizenship and made his professional debut in 1992. She mainly works on the stage and often plays supporting roles in TV dramas and movies. Since 2001, she has also started working as a voice actress.
