Nisirine Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku explains why she does not waste her time to hear nonsense from trolls after a netizen made negative comments about her stretch marks.
According to Naa Ashorkor this begun about two years ago.
“Two years ago was the first time I ever posted a picture of my stretch marks, I received my first comment from an internet troll.
I didn’t know this was a thing.
Getting shamed on the internet? Really? How cruel is this world? ” She said in despair.
Naa Ashorkor revealed the falterer and the negative comment the person wrote;
“It was a woman, she was a Mom and she commented “That’s ugly! I just threw up my lunch ”
Do I respond? Do I stay quiet?
The blood rushed through my body and I wanted to fight back.”
Well, it did not end with just uncontrollable thoughts. She figured, why no go into her dm respectfully and find out the person’s point of view. The person’s reaction was rather conflicting with her previous comment.
Perhaps she was shocked Naa Ashorkor was in her dm.
The Ghanaian celebrity, Naa Ashorkor said, “I paused and decided to approach the person on a DM very respectfully.
I said, I think it’s incredible what our bodies are capable of and I went on a rant. I ended with “bless you and your family.” Naa Ashorkor explained.
“She responded. She said she was sorry and that she just thought I was in an accident and had burns… That made no sense! I clearly posted about postpartum stretch marks. That would be more of an insult if she wrote what she said thinking I went through a traumatic accident…
Now, I just ignore the trolls.
I do not waste my time to hear their nonsense.
Yes- it’s annoying to read the shameful comments every day when people want to assume or critique but I don’t take it personal.”
This was how Naa Ashorkor decided not to waste her time on trivial matters.
“I know these people are fighting deeper demons of their own.
When they start attacking my Mommy friends on here, I don’t take that.
They will be blocked.
Shame me all you want but don’t use my platform to attack our beautiful Moms on here.”
She ended her message by explaining what she thinks of stretch marks.
