Total number of Laptops to be given to students SONSOL applicants
If you applied for the One Needy Student, One Laptop project dubbed “SONSOL” Project, you are probably wondering whether you might get a laptop for yourself or not.
How many laptops will be given out for the SONSOL Project?
The University Authorities in charge of the SONSOL Project have not officially announced the total number of laptops to be given out to selected applicants. However, information gathered by yebekagh.com will give you a rough estimate of the number of laptops to be given.
Donations for SONSOL Project.
In line with the Vice-Chancellor’s vision to support one needy student with one laptop dubbed ‘SONSOL PROJECT’, Absa Bank Ghana Limited has donated Fifty (50) brand-new Lenovo laptop computers to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

ABSA is not the only organization to support the institution with laptops. Vodafone Ghana Foundation (VGF) has also contributed to the successful disbursement of free laptops for needy students.
Vodafone Ghana Foundation (VGF), a subsidiary of Vodafone Ghana, has donated 200 brand new Lenovo laptop computers to KNUST.
Stanbic bank has also recently donated 100 laptops to support the project.
“The Management the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has donated 560 Laptops to less endowed schools in Ghana.“ Georgeweb.org reported last year 2020.
Adding to the 350 so far, it is believed that the University can support about 560 laptops with respect to the project led by Professor Kwasi-Obiri-Danso, former Vice-Chancellor of KNUST.
Conclusion.
In conclusion, the total number of laptops to be given to students is Nine hundred and Ten, 910 laptops. However, the KNUST has recently announced yesterday 24th February, 2021 to donate 533 laptops.
NB: This is only an opinion based on the research information gathered by yebekagh.com. The institution has every right to decide the number of laptops to be given to needy students based on several administrative reasons.
