Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have an upcoming match which will square off in a fixture targetted at honouring the west African nation’s separation from colonial rule.
The Kotoko and Hearts of Oak match will take place at the Barnet Stadium in London an it is scheduled after independence day on the 7th of March. The match was organised by HRH Sports Consultancy Limited.
The decision to sanction the match will however not disrupt the Ghana Premier League calendar in any way.
A meeting was held on Friday at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The final decision was that this upcoming match is to take place in Europe.
Among the officials present at the meeting were Organisers Nana Yaw Amponsah and Justin Addo, Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, Ghana FA President Kurt E.S. Okraku, Chief Director of the Ministry Frank Quist and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo.
Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will spend only four days after they leave Ghana on the 4th of March and return on the 8th of March to continue with the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
