The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commences in the next few weeks on September 14, 2020. This happens to be its 30th edition.
The BECE 2020 examination was supposed to have been written in June but has been a delay to next month’s September due to the lockdown as a result of the locally spread Coronavirus.
WAEC Head of Department, Mr Ben K. Owusu revealed that the Ashanti region has recorded the highest number of candidates as reported by Georgeweb.org. With the ongoing movement Kumerica, Kumasi being the largest city in Ashanti Region holds majority of the BECE 2020 examination students.
Ghana Education Service (GES) has arranged to conduct the examination with strict COVID-19 protocols in place to avoid further spread of the novel coronavirus disease.
