According to the arrives they are charged $150 whenever a person lands at Kotoka international airport. Officials claim the amount of money is collected for COVID-19 tests.
Dr Okoe Boye in a submission to the media said the government has assessed the global situation before arriving at the cost of $150.
He said countries like Zimbabwe, Togo, Benin and Nigeria charge higher than the $150 Ghana government has decided on.
Explaining further on the usage of the $150 at Kotoka, he stated; “So with all these considerations, remember that anyone coming to Ghana must have a negative PCR test”.
Travelers at the Kotoka arrivals claim this practice is against the World Health Organisation protocols
and cannot be continued.
