In efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in #Ghana, UNICEF has handed over personal protective equipment (PPE), hand washing supplies and disinfection equipment to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources.
According to UNICEF, this initiative was funded by the Governments of Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada and the Netherlands as well as the World Bank.
UNICEF hands over PPE supplies including protective suits, gumboots, heavy-duty gloves, hand sanitisers and Veronica buckets to be used to enhance infection prevention control.
Today, Hon. Minister Cecilia Dapaah, Minister for Water Resources expressed gratitude to UNICEF and other partners who are collaborating to help improve access to safe and clean water, sanitation and hygiene in Ghana.
While, UNICEF hands over PPE supplies seeking to promote the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in Ghana, it as well petitions for school students to resume school as soon as possible following the preventive guidelines.
