UTAG fails to attend urgent meeting with NLC following order of interlocutory injunction

0

UTAG failed to honour the invitation by National Labour Commission to an urgent meeting today, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 to develop the roadmap towards resolving outstanding issues of UTAG.

The NLC on Friday secured an interlocutory injunction from the Labour Court 1 to compel UTAG to call off their strike which started on Monday August 2.

Following the serving of an order of interlocutory injunction on UTAG, the Association has asked its lawyers to go to court to set it aside.

Therefore, UTAG would not be able to honour the invitation as it demands the court process to end before any meeting.

Meanwhile, the UTAG strike is still ongoing and examinations at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and other institutions are still on suspension.
