The University of Ghana has warned students against perchers and close interactions.

The students have been advised to interact online.

The directive from the authorities has been included in the Covid-19 guidelines to students.

Any student with ailment must stay away from academic activities.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu has revealed that the Covid-19 situation on campus is alarming.

He disclosed this at a meeting with the student leaders on Friday, January 8, 2021.

“The times in which we are in are extremely unusual. We have to ensure that we reduce our density in terms of population on campus. The data that we have of Covid-19 infections on this campus is extremely alarming.” VC said.

According to the VC, decreasing the frequent interactions with students physically will help reduce the number of active cases on UG campus.
