He explained that on Monday 17th August, he saw MATHS questions flying around on Facebook. “The questions were exactly the same the next morning when I cross-checked.” He said.
Mr Asare added that the WASSCE 2020 questions on Chemistry were also seen but with a disguised name and the same questions appeared in the examination.
According to Mr Asare, there is a WAEC exam leak room for WASSCE questions operating on WhatsApp and providing exam leaks.
He addressed the issue of a spreadsheet leak of various marking examiners of WASSCE 2020 questions answered.
Explaining to Citinews on air, he said; “For the first time, an Excell spreadsheet of examiners appeared from an anonymous source that is how severe the matter is.”
Upon further interrogation, Mr Leakages do not come after the paper, “it comes before the paper.” People pay a lot of money to provide these questions according to Mr Asare. WAEC always denies there is a leakage because they want to protect their identity.
WAEC Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mad Agnes Teye Cudjoe responded to these claims and said “WAEC will never comprise the papers.”
“We always protect the integrity of the examination and the certificates awarded.” She denied the claims.
She added that WAEC investigative team has revealed that rogue websites post fake questions unrelated to WASSCE questions.
She said their investigative team is trying to track down these websites. It is unfortunate that Mr Asare claims it is the fault of WAEC.
Mad Agnes Teye Cudjoe ended saying, the confidential information that went out as a softcopy during this time of WASSCE 2020 is still being investigated.
