After a grueling and protracted three-year legal battle, the Accra court has finally delivered its verdict in the high-profile divorce case between Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan and his ex-wife, Gifty Gyan. The court's decision includes several significant rulings that have far-reaching implications for both parties involved. First and foremost, the court affirmed Asamoah Gyan's paternity of the three children born to Gifty Gyan, thus putting an end to any paternity-related disputes. In terms of financial support, Asamoah Gyan has been ordered to provide a monthly stipend of 25,000 Ghana cedis to Gifty Gyan. It's important to note that this financial assistance does not cover specific expenses such as school fees, medical and dental care, flight tickets, and various other childcare costs. One of the most substantial aspects of the court's decision is the allocation of property. As part of the settlement, Asamoah Gyan's mansion in the United Kingdom will be transferred to Gifty Gyan. Additionally, Gifty Gyan has been awarded a four-bedroom house situated in Spintex, Accra. The court further ruled that two vehicles owned by Asamoah Gyan, a BMW and an Infiniti, must be handed over to Gifty Gyan. In a surprising twist, Asamoah Gyan's land, originally designated for the construction of a filling station, has also been assigned to Gifty Gyan. This legal decision marks a significant development in the long and complex legal dispute involving Asamoah Gyan and Gifty Gyan, particularly in relation to the custody of their children and associated financial matters. It's worth noting that in 2018, Asamoah Gyan publicly disclosed his financial challenges, citing bankruptcy, which added another layer of complexity to the situation. In August, Gyan reportedly ceased communication with his wife, Gifty, and their three children, leaving phone calls from the family unanswered. In light of these developments, Asamoah Gyan is said to have expressed his intention to seek an annulment of his marriage to Gifty, further intensifying this intricate family saga. The court's verdict, which encompasses property and financial matters, represents a significant turning point in the lives of both Asamoah Gyan and Gifty Gyan. It remains to be seen how these decisions will impact their future and the ongoing developments in this closely watched divorce case.
